You Can Downgrade to iOS 8.1.3 Right Now
With each passing day, we get closer to the end of the iOS 8.2 to iOS 8.1.3 downgrade. Apple’s still signing off on the iOS 8.1.3 update which means that you can downgrade from iOS 8.2 if you don’t like what you see. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t keep this option open forever.
It’s difficult to predict exactly when Apple will stop signing for iOS 8.2 but it should happen sometime within the next week and a half. Apple usually kills support in and around the two week mark. iOS 8.2 Jailbreak MIA
Finally, it’s worth knowing that an iOS 8.2 jailbreak remains missing in action and those interested would be wise to hold off on updating to iOS 8.2. For the moment, iOS 8.1.2 is the newest version of iOS 8 software that’s compatible with a jailbreak. iOS 8.1.3 killed off TaiG and it’s not clear when support will return for iOS 8. If it does at all.
iOS 8.2 delivered an enormous list of security enhancements for the iPhone and iPad, the full list of which can be found here. That probably didn’t make things any easier for the developer teams behind the popular iOS 8 jailbreaks. It also doesn’t help that an iOS 8.3 release is probably just a few weeks away. Everything remains up in the air and those of you who are interested should keep a close eye out for developments.
