The 2019 Nissan Murano features a new look inside and out as well as an updated Nissan Safety Shield option that adds new driver convenience and safety features to the CUV.
Appearing at the LA Auto Show ahead of a mid-December arrival at U.S. dealers, the new Nissan Murano joins the 2019 Maxima.
Nissan changes the grille to add a bigger and bolder V-motion grille that pairs with new headlights and taillights to deliver a sharper look for the new model.
“The first-generation Nissan Murano had a profound impact on the SUV market when it was introduced in 2003. As a pioneer of the CUV trend, it offered forward-looking design sensibility that combined an elegant style with premium features – without a luxury price tag,” said Dan Mohnke, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, Nissan Division U.S., Nissan North America, Inc.
Buyers also get new 18-inch and 20-inch wheel options, new LED fog lights and new exterior colors including; Sunset Drift Chromaflair, Mocha Almond Pearl and Deep Blue Pearl.
Inside the 2019 Murano Platinum is outfitted with new semi-aniline leather-appointed seats, complete with diamond-quilted inserts and contrasting micro-piping trim. There are three new trim options including Dark Wood-Tone (Platinum), Light Wood-Tone (S, SV, SL) and Metallic (S, SV, SL).
With Nissan Safety Shield 360 you get six driver convenience and safety features including;
- Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
- Blind Spot Warning
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Lane Departure Warning
- High Beam Assist
- Rear Automatic Braking.
This is standard on the Murano Platinum and part of the SL Technology package. Additional features for 2019 include standard 2nd row supplemental side air bags and a front passenger supplemental knee air bag. The Rear Door Alert system is also standard on all Murano trim levels.
All Murano trims includ Nissan Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on an 8-inch display. With the Murano SL and higher trims you get Navigation included.
The 2019 Nissan Murano arrives in four trim packages, S, SV, SL and Platinum. There are two options available, the SV Premium Package and the SL Technology package. These include;
- SV Premium Package featuring Power Panoramic Moonroof, Intelligent Around View Monitor, Bose Premium sound system with 11 high-performance speakers and more.
