Pre-Order to Get Access to Shao Khan

If you want access to the full cast of characters when Mortal Kombat 11 launches you'll want to pre-order the game before its release date. 

Pre-ordering any copy of Mortal Kombat 11 grants you access to the DLC character Shao Khan. Originally a boss, Khan was first introduced all the way back in Mortal Kombat II. He's the Emperor of Mortal Kombat's Outworld. 

It's unclear if Shao Khan will play a role in the story. Goro, the pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat X, didn't appear in the game's story mode. 

As of right now, this is the only known way to get access to Shao Khan. Obviously there's a chance NetherRealm opens him up to everyone else, but it might come at an added cost.
