HTC One

The HTC One is in the same boat as the Galaxy S4. It's currently scheduled to get replaced in the near future by the all new HTC One but until it's actually replaced, it remains one of the best options on the table for consumers.

Like the Galaxy S4, the HTC One is built to last and it too was recently upgraded with Android 4.4 KitKat in an effort to improve its experience.

Rumors suggest that it will get the new Sense 6 that debuts on the all new HTC One which means that the HTC One, despite being a year old, has some life left in it. Throw in the fact that it's a cheap option and it's hard to argue against it appearing on this list.

Some good phones here, but no LG G2? 5.2″ IPS display, as “edge-to-edge” screen as it gets, Snapdragon 800 Quad, 13MP camera with OIS, 3000mAh battery, knock-on, IR blaster, etc.
