The 5 Best Android Smartphones [October, 2013]

Nexus 4 / Nexus 5

The Nexus 4 has vanished from the Google Play Store, but it's still available on the T-Mobile store and through third-party retailers. Until a new Nexus arrives, we consider the Nexus 4 one of the top Android smartphones.

Thing is, the Nexus 5 is rumored to be making a debut in mid-October which could mean a release late in the month. If that's the case, it will likely take over for the Nexus 4 due to bigger and better specifications including LTE and 1080p.

For now, the Nexus 4 reigns as one of the top options but with a Nexus 5 on the way, it's best to wait a few weeks before buying.

How can ANYONE let alone an android writer put the measly, meal, underpowered and old tech screen moto x above the LGG2. BESIDES the note its the fastest most inavative phone on the planet. Only AN IDIOT would. Put a dual core above the snapdragon 800. You are misleading people and wither your stupid or you have been paid off. Stop lying to people telling them the moto x(and I’m a moto fan so clearly not biased ) can even come remotely close the the LG G2! Discussing

Yea, honestly, the x won over the g2? I’m beginning to think I should choose another tech site to frequent.

Wow,took the words right out of my mouth. That’s not even in the realm of 1% opinion dustin. Totally inept or paid off,I am going somewhere else. I likes gtbm because there is always a plethoraof info and emails but the quality of content has declinedrapidly. There arw even emails now where an ophone writer is breaking android news, that was bad but this lack of knowledge or blatant bribery one of the two IS the last straw. I’m done

Please excuse the terrible spelling I am using Google voice to text and it doesn’t seem to be doing too well this late at night . previous post was supposed to say IPHONE WRITER not iPhone writer. Nonetheless even my spelling out does the fact that the Moto X can even come close to touching the g2.

An IPhone writer whom is also intrigued with Windows Phones writing about the top 5 Android phones. OMG I just noticed that, sorry man no offence but that’s like a ford employee who loves Chevy’s writing about Volkswagen’s. What’s wrong with you GTBM

I agree with except the LG G2 not being in the top 5. I love the Samsung products but I agree that besides the Note 3 the G2 is the best phone money can buy at the moment. Besides that all these models will bring anyone happiness for at least another year.

I agree also box accept have one comment, the moto x has a dual core which is old tech and my sons moto droid RAZR maxx has dual core and lags terribly, no I didn’t see but I would hope and think that the new one has two gigs of ram which would help a lot but I wouldn’t put a ton of stock and another full year of being happy with it. I could be wrong, but not of the reservation as part of this list. Lol

    Thanks for this review Adam!
Though my bet wasn’t in the top 1 but i find your post helpful. It will be a future reference to others who are planning to change their Android smartphones.
