5 Best Sprint Smartphones [January, 2014]

Those looking to snag a new smartphone on the Now Network aren’t going to find a shortage of options. Instead, those seeking to buy a new smartphone on Sprint during the month of January are going to find a loaded lineup that provides a ton of solid options as we head deeper into the new year.

In 2013, Sprint stuck to its game plan. The carrier continued to expand its high-speed 4G LTE network and it still remains, the only major carrier in the United States where users can sign up for a new contract and receive, pure unlimited data. Carriers like AT&T and Verizon have chucked that policy to the wayside, leaving the Now Network as the network for those that don’t want to deal with constraints.

Fortunately, the carrier shored up its growing network and unlimited data plans with a fantastic lineup of smartphones that offers consumers a little bit of everything. Early in the year, we saw Sprint release the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. Later in the year, the carrier predictably hopped on the iPhone bandwagon and released the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c and we also saw it put forth two quality Android phones in the Moto X and the LG G2.

Much later in the year, Sprint unleashed the Nexus 5, Google’s current Nexus smartphone. The carrier previously carried the Samsung Galaxy Nexus though it did not carry the widely popular Nexus 4 which was limited to AT&T and T-Mobile in the United States. January has been slow though Sprint’s decisions last year have ensure that it has a more than capable lineup in the new year.

Choosing a new smartphone from a strong smartphone lineup can be a daunting task. Here, we want to try and make things a little easier for those looking to snag a smartphone on the Now Network this month. Here, we detailed the devices we think comprise the five best Sprint smartphones for the month of January, 2014.

iPhone 5s

Apple's iPhone 5s might be getting company as early as this summer, but until then, it will remain one of Sprint's best smartphone options.

Rumors suggest that an iPhone 6 could be bringing a larger screen later this year. For now though, the 4-inch iPhone 5s will have to do. Fortunately, it's an extremely solid smartphone, thanks to a host of big time hardware features including a solid camera and 64-bit processor, and thanks to Apple's three years of software support.

This is a phone that is built to last and those who pay the $199.99 or more on Sprint won't be walking away feeling guilty. This is a fantastic smartphone and one of the best.

I want to know how 2 powerhouses like the G2 and the Note 3 got beat by the S4 and Htc One. They destory both phones in any benchmark, the save better battery life, they even turn on faster. This seems biased towards what one person thinks is the best phone instead of actual facts. Radio performance is KING and the HTC ONE, Galaxy S4 and Moto X are not Spark phones they lose by default save the resent GS4’s are now spark capable but trust me when I say you need to take second look and stop making this a popularity thing and more fact based
