Apple is reportedly working on a new sixth-generation iPad mini and it looks like it'll arrive in the near future. 

Unless something changes, and it certainly could, the iPad mini 6 will launch sometime this fall. You can expect it to launch in September. 

If you're planning to buy a new iPad in 2021, and you aren't necessarily sold on the iPad mini 5 or Apple's other iPad models, you should wait for Apple's fall announcements.
