Wait for Improved Durability
A new rumor suggests that Apple will be making another notable change to the iPhone's design in 2022.
According to JP Morgan Chase, Apple's upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models will come with a tougher titanium alloy chassis.
Apple already uses titanium for some of its Apple Watch 6 models. The company's Apple Card is also made out of titanium. This would be the first time the company's used the material on the iPhone. The iPhone 12, and older iPhone models, are made using aluminum and stainless steel.
A titanium design would afford iPhone users some advantages. The material is less prone to scratches and it can withstand bending.
This is the first time we've heard this so take the report with a grain of salt. That said, if a titanium iPhone is something you've been waiting for, think about waiting.
