The 5 Best Android Smartphones [September, 2013]

Published

With the summer giving way to the fall, the Android smartphone market is about to heat up as several big name smartphones make their way to shelves. While this is a great thing for those on the lookout for a new device, it will also make things stressful for those looking to snag the best Android smartphone that money can buy during the month of August.

This year we’ve see a number of fantastic Android smartphones launch and hit shelves, tempting customers with their hardware and software features. While we haven’t seen devices released at the same rate as in years past, the quality is still there and carriers in the U.S. and elsewhere currently boast fantastic smartphone lineups.

Those lineups are going to change dramatically in the weeks ahead though as Android smartphone manufacturers place their bets on the holiday shopping season. Last year, we saw devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Droid DNA emerge from hiding, tempting consumers with high-end hardware and powerful software and this year, we should see a number of new flagship smartphones hit shelves, particularly in the month of September.

As we said, this is going to be a great thing for those looking to buy a new Android device. Having a host of big name options never hurt anybody. However, it also can make life difficult as choosing a smartphone for the years to come is an important, and expensive, decision.

There are, of course, devices that are and will be stronger than others. And while it will ultimately come down to personal preference, there are devices that simply standout above the rest of the pack as devices that simply need to be at the top of the list.

Here, we take a look at what we think are and will be the five best Android smartphones for the month of September, 2013.
