Published

on

With the HTC U12 release almost here it’s time to start weighing all of your smartphone options in 2018. Potential buyers have several excellent phones to choose from. With that in mind here are a few reasons you should, and maybe shouldn’t, wait for HTC’s next phone.

If you’re looking for a new phone there are plenty of excellent choices available right now or coming soon. From the Galaxy S9 and OnePlus 6 to Google Pixel 2 XL. That said, the HTC U12+ should be near the top of your list.

There are also some unreleased devices worth some attention. We’re talking about the upcoming HTC U12+ or LG G7. We know a brand new HTC phone is coming soon, and new leaks are revealing key information ahead of the event and eventual release date.

HTC U12 Leaks & Rumors

Even though the company sold most of its smartphone division to Google, a new HTC phone is still in the works for this year. Past HTC smartphones like the U11 and U Ultra were nice, however, they couldn’t compete with Samsung or Apple. That could all change in 2018 with the new HTC U12. Well, or the HTC U12+. And while we’re still waiting for the May 23rd launch event, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect already.

The new HTC U12 surfaced on Facebook and has leaked several times ahead of the May release event and date. Furthermore, Evan Blass just unveiled everything about this phone on Twitter. There are no surprises left. His track record is proven, so we’re confident in most of our information in the slideshow below.

HTC’s new phone will reportedly come with a big 6-inch long and skinny screen like the Galaxy S9 or iPhone X. Pair that with four cameras, a premium design, and the latest specs, and this phone sounds exciting.

With teasers here and the event only a few weeks away, you might want to wait just a little longer to see what HTC has in store next. That said, there are also a few reasons why you might want to skip the wait and get something else today.
