Albatron Tee PC
How about a small slate that runs Windows CE, has a 7-inch 800×480 touchscreen, VGA, 1.3 Megapixel camera, includes a dock that has USB, AC, audio ports and built in speakers, Bluetooth, and WiFi. It doesn’t look to be a power house as it is running a 400Mhz ARM926 CPU with only 128MB of storage, but according to what Iâ€Âm reading it will run heavy video at 30fps. But the size makes the Albatron Tee PC more than a curiosity. (Although that name keeps making me think Albatross.)
There’s a size comparison with the iPhone and the MacBook Air after the jump.

This is one of those products that intrigues me. I desperately want a note-taking pad to take over for my paper notebooks.
While tablet PCs are getting closer, they’re still a bit on the big and heavy side.
Let’s just hope it’s cheap enough to make it worth while!

If it ran Windows Mobile rather than CE so that I could run my current software on it I might take an interest.
Still, I haven’t seen a WM device yet with reliable handwriting recognition, even using 3rd party software like Calligrapher, and a screen that size just looks like a Vector trap.

A note taker maybe but if the price point is low enough there would be a load of other uses for this (remember that CE can run a remote desktop client).
Indeed in my “digital home” I am thinking it would make a nice control pad or a “pick up and browse anywhere in the home” device which is made more possible with the always on nature of CE.
