AT&T Launches Two New 4G LTE Devices

Published

on

Back at CES 2012, AT&T announced a bunch of devices for its 4G LTE network, a network that is going to be expanding quite a bit in 2012. And now, two of those devices, the Pantech Element tablet and the Pantech Burst smartphone are both available on Ma Bell’s next-generation network for some prices that many of you may find to be quite enticing.

The Pantech Burst is an extremely cheap 4G LTE smartphone which checks in at $50 on a new two-year contract. That’s pretty darn cheap making it a viable option for those that don’t need any frills or are just looking for an entry level LTE-powered phone.

If you’re looking for amazing hardware, look elsewhere though.

The Burst includes a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display with 480×800 resolution, a 1650 mAh battery, and a 5MP rear camera that can capture 720p video. So really, the main selling point here are going to be those LTE speeds.

As for the Pantech Element, it features a water-resistant 8-inch display with 1024 x 768 XGA resolution, 1GB of RAM, a 6400 mAh battery, a 5MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and it’s powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

It has an assortment of ports on board as well including one for HDMI and a USB slot.

The Element is going to cost you $300 with the signing of a two-year contract. However, there is a way to bring the cost of it down.

AT&T is offering a bundle. If you buy the Element and the Burst together, then it’s only $250 on-contract. For both. So if you’re in the market for a phone and tablet, you may want to consider both of these.
