Eager iPhone 4S upgraders on AT&T‘s network have not only crippled the site under heavy traffic, but have put enough strain on the website as to crash it. AT&T’s site now no longer loads when you visit wireless.att.com to try to upgrade, check for upgrade eligibility, or peruse the site for any information.
iPhone 4S pre-orders have barely begun 20 minutes ago. Verizon and Sprint are both doing fine and their sites are handling the traffic adequately at the time of this post. Apple‘s and AT&T’s websites are both failing under heavy traffic strain.
