The new Apple Smart Keyboard is a case and keyboard in one. This attaches to the back of the iPad Pro with magnets and includes a keyboard folio that covers the front of the iPad when in transit, keeping the screen safe. If you are using this as a laptop replacement, it is a must have iPad Pro case. The 2018 iPad Pro is a new design, so you cannot use your old case. One of the biggest upgrades this year is the ability to choose from a angle for typing on your lap and another angle for typing on a desk. This is a major upgrade from the old model, and should help out greatly. This is one of the reasons I am upgrading to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. You can use a skin with this case if you want to protect the back of the iPad Pro when you take it out of the keyboard case. I just want to find a slim case that protects the perimeter of the iPad Pro 12.9”, with shockproof corners and can still charge the pencil.
I have yet to find any.
