HTC Nexus 9

Then of course we have to mention the HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet released in November of 2014. It's Google's most recent Nexus tablet, can be found for rather cheap these days, and is still considered one of the better options today.

Coming with a 8.9-inch beautiful HD display, a powerful 64-bit processor with 2GB of RAM, the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, dual front facing speakers, and an 8 megapixel camera the Nexus 9 is probably the best price to performance option now that the Nexus 7 is showing its age.

Google's Nexus 9 has a 4:3 aspect ratio similar to iPads vs the long and skinny look of all other Android tablets. It's easy to hold, runs flawlessly, and is one of your best choices if you're getting an Android tablet. Add in the great design, front speakers, aluminum frame, and Android M with a promise to quick updates, this is still a great tablet.

As it is now Nov 2015, most of these “best” tablets are no longer available. Samsung (who had a great line up last year) has a new line of tablets out (the S2 line-up). The few remaining tablets from last years line are the ones with very little built in memory (the 16BG models). All of the NEW Samsung models lack an IR blaster. This is also true of the new models from other companies. It is now nearly impossible to find a tablet that has an IR blaster, even though the public want them.

It’s important to remember that every person is different, and likewise their choice in tablets is going to be different as well. Thanks for sharing this list!
