Amazon's tablets run on a version of Android called the Fire OS, and the new Amazon Kindle Fire HD also comes in a 10-inch version that's usually priced just over $229, but right now it's on sale and perfect for this collection of great tablets. The Fire HD 10 comes with a 10-inch 720p HD display, the same quad-core processor but with 16GB of internal storage, a micro-SD slot, better dual 5 megapixel cameras, and is one of the thinnest 10-inch tablets available. It does have ads, or suggestions on the lockscreen (similar to the suggestions on Amazon.com) but that gets buyers the lower price point. You can pay a little more to get rid of that, but that takes the price up. It's not a pure Android tablet, but is still a great overall experience and one of the best-selling tablets on Amazon.com. They also offer an 8-inch model for those wanting an in-between size. | ||||||||
