Office Online’s Word Online

Office Online’s Word Online

Of course, you could always use Microsoft Office Online, which exists to keep Google Drive in check. It’s compatible with all the same document formats that Word 2016 is, even if it is missing some of Word’s more granular editing features and mailing options.

Like Google Docs, it exists to provide a direct link to a cloud service, OneDrive. Together the two allow for online collaboration and easy document sharing. The documents that you create can be downloaded and opened in Word 2016 and Word 2013, though you can’t edit without an internet connection.

Where is SSuite Office? They have been around for a long time and their software is absolutely excellent and most importantly, free!

I’ve been using their software for a long time now and have never needed anything else. They even have an online office suite now. Much more convenient than one would think. It’s also not cloud based, so no login or accounts to create. Runs directly in your web browser, Now that is something no one else has.

A front runner if not the best alternative out there. Check them out, you will not regret it. :-)
