7 Best MacBook USB-C Accessories

The 12-inch MacBook is nearly a year old, giving accessory makers all sorts of time to come up with some great USB-C accessories for the new laptop. Here are the seven best MacBook USB-C accessories you can buy.

The 12-inch MacBook was released last year in March as a brand-new laptop category for Apple. It’s reminiscent of the MacBook Air with its razor blade design, but it’s even thinner and lighter than the Air.

We’ve covered various MacBook accessories that are worth buying over on our sister site Notebooks.com, but we wanted to focus specifically on USB-C accessories for Apple’s new laptop.

The newer MacBook also has minimal ports and even introduces a new port for an Apple product — the device only has one USB-C port and a headphone jack. This means that accessories and all sorts of adapters are a must if you plan on plugging anything in except for the MacBook’s charger.

However, there are a handful of awesome MacBook USB-C accessories that are available to purchase, with more coming soon in the future. We saw a few new USB-C accessories announced at CES, including USB-C monitors even, as well as all sorts of adapters and docks.

In the meantime, though, here are seven of the best MacBook USB-C accessories that you can buy right now.

If you want to expand that single USB-C port as far as it can go, Satechi's hub might be the accessory to buy.

The 3 in 1 Combo Hub comes with an SD card slot, a microSD card slot, and three USB 3.0 ports, all of which can be plugged into the single USB-C port to provide you with even more ports.

The hub is only $35, but a newer version is coming later this year that will have a passthrough USB-C port for charging and will only cost $5 more.

Really like the Macbook with a Lumiy Lightline because the lamp is small and compact (perfect size for my Macbook) and it has USB so I can charge the device right there!
