The iPod touch is perhaps the most giftable iOS device available. It's relatively affordable and doesn't require any sort of contract or monthly cost like the iPhone and some iPads. Target will sell the iPod touch for its normal $229 price, but through in a $50 gift card to lower its effective price to just $179. That's an excellent deal for what amounts to an iPhone minus the phone functionality. The iPod touch is the perfect gift if you're a parent that's tired of sharing your phone with your kids. Just a comment about some of the “deals”. Walmart, as just one example, has a seven inch Nextbook tablet with a dual core processor on sale for $69.99. Last week, while shopping for Christmas for the same tablet, with a leather case, it was sold at $59.99 and included a leather case. Not an indictment, particularly against Walmart, many retailers engage in this same type of advertising/practice, I’m merely cautioning shoppers to try to be aware of what they are paying for an item and whether or not the retailer is giving you a good deal or if they have actually marked the price up and called it a sale.
