Earlier this summer one of the biggest updates in history arrived for the extremely popular mobile game Clash of Clans. The update brought new level 5 dragons, three brand new spells and tons of improvements, but the developers aren’t done. This weekend they started teasing another update, and here we’ll be going over five things gamers can expect from the next Clash of Clans update.
With more than 150 million installs on iOS, and over 100 million Android users this is one of the most popular games around, and with good reason. Updates consistently improve the gameplay, add new features, and keep things exciting for the millions of players.
Just as they did during the massive update on July 1st, this weekend Supercell started teasing another “big update” to Clash, starting with a few sneak peeks regarding what’s coming soon. We know about at least two major changes, but more will be coming later this week.
In the more than two years that I’ve been playing Clash of Clans tons of new things have been added to the game. We received new troops, additional spells, higher dragons, a fourth Mortar, the air sweeper to handle those Balloon raids and much much more. And more is coming soon. We’re not sure if these teasers are for the big late October update, or if we’ll see an update arrive this month, and then another during ClashCon at the end of next month. That all said, here’s what gamers should know.
This morning the developers of Clash of Clans unveiled a dangerous Lightning Spell level 7, making it the post powerful spell ever, one that was somewhat rendered pointless after the update back in July. The summer update delivered three new spells, and made lightning ineffective against storages, which was what most gamers used the spell for. See the new level 7 lightning in action below.
In the next major Clash of Clans update, lightning spell at level 5 and 6 will be much stronger, a new level 7 will be unlocked for TH10 players, and it’s accuracy and range of damage will be smaller. Meaning it will be more accurate when dropped, hitting targets with more precision, rather than being so unpredictable. That said, it will still take three maxed lightning spells to take out highly upgraded air defense units, not two as many expected. Not to mention gamers will need to be more accurate in the drop and timing of the spell, especially while taking out clan castle troops.
This is just one or two things of many coming in the next Clash of Clans update, and below are a few more details regarding what to expect in the future.
