The Apple Pencil now charges without plugging into the Lightning port, which is great. Instead of plugging in, you simply put the Apple Pencil on the side of the iPad Pro and it will pair and start charging.
The 2018 iPad Pro uses magnets to keep the new Apple Pencil in place. You can't use the old Apple Pencil with the new iPad Pro models, so you will need to upgrade to this one if you upgrade. By holding it in place, you have a built-in spot to keep your Apple Pencil handy. It will be interesting to see how well it keeps this in place when you are on the go. |
