Droid Bionic Ice Cream Sandwich Update Leaks Yet Again

Published

on

The Motorola Droid Bionic Ice Cream Sandwich update has leaked yet again, another sign that the update could be coming soon.

Another version of the software has leaked out from Motorola’s servers over at XDA-forums and this leak takes the version up to .232. This leak follows several others that have surfaced over the last few weeks which have allowed owners to flash Ice Cream Sandwich early.

This latest update appears to be running smoothly for those that have installed it, but it’s unclear if it’s the final version of the software. At this point, with the frequency of these leaks, we have to lean towards it not being the final release.

Still, it’s a sign that Motorola is continuing to make progress with the update which means that it, and the new Smart Actions feature that will come along with it, might be rolling out to owners sooner rather than later.

Droid Bionic owners who are interested in installing Ice Cream Sandwich at this point should tread carefully. While this leak comes from Motorola itself, it doesn’t mean that the software is the final version.

So, those who aren’t well-versed in flashing ROMs should probably just hold out for the official update which, could come at any time.

Motorola has set a Q3 deadline for the Droid Bionic ICS update which means that it could roll out at any point in July, August or September.

From the looks of things, Motorola might actually be working to get it out before August or September rolls around and Droid Bionic owners would certainly appreciate that.
