Published

on

In the wake of the launch of the iPhone 5, Verizon has dropped the price of the Droid Incredible 4G LTE down to a mere $100 on-contract, an enticing offer for a fairly new 4G LTE smartphone.

The Droid Incredible 4G LTE, which finally launched in July, is now available for a mere $100 when customers sign up for a brand-new contract with Verizon. That price tag is $50 more expensive than the one found at Amazon but still might be alluring to customers nonetheless.

Originally, the Droid Incredible 4G LTE launched with a price tag of $150 on-contract. However, now that we are seeing a price drop just a couple of months after its launched, it’s clear that he phone wasn’t positioned at the right price. $99.99 is likely better suited for a phone that offers some hits and some misses.

The Droid Incredible 4G LTE dropped to $100 at Verizon today.

In our review of the Droid Incredible 4G LTE found that its small size, sharp 4-inch display and 4G LTE speeds were fantastic but that it was also hampered by a small battery and a mere 8GB of on board memory.

It also runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and not Android 4.1 Jelly Bean though we imagine that HTC and Verizon will update it at some point.

Those looking for a smaller Android device will certainly want to take a look at the Droid Incredible 4G LTE as its screen size and footprint are much smaller than typical Android phones. It would also make a perfect device for those looking to get their first smartphone as it has everything one would might need from a device.

Verizon has a host of new phones on the way including the Galaxy Note 2 so look for the price of the Droid Incredible 4G LTE to drop even further in the next couple of months, especially at retailers like Amazon.
