A Few Things to Remember

A Few Things to Remember

And finally, a few reminders for those of you buying the game for someone else.

Fallout 4 mods are available for the PC but not for the Xbox One or PS4. At least not yet. Bethesda is planning to release an official mod tool for PC sometime in 2016, date unknown.

Mods will come to the PC first followed by the Xbox One followed by the PS4. Keep this in mind if the person you're buying for owns more than one system.

Bethesda's also confirmed that it will be releasing the first Fallout 4 DLC in 2016. It hasn't confirmed what that DLC will be but we do know that there won't be any exclusives.

Microsoft and Bethesda are close partners but Fallout 4 won't go the Black Ops 3 route and include exclusive DLC for a platform. Everyone will get the same Fallout 4 DLC at the same time. So there's no need to factor that into your decision about which version to buy.

If you know for a fact the person you're buying for will be interested in the DLC, the Season Pass is worth investigating. For $30 you will get every bit of paid Fallout 4 DLC.
