Fallout 4 Patch 1.3: 5 Reasons We’re Excited

If you own the PC version of the game, you should be excited about two features in particular. 

One feature is the new ambient occlusion setting, HBAO+. If you value the look of Fallout 4, and I know many of you do, you'll appreciate this new setting. 

According to NVIDIA, HBAO+ adds "richer, more detailed, more realistic shadows around objects that occlude rays of light." You can get a feel for the change in this collection of images. It's slight but if you enlarge the photos you can see the difference. 

If everything goes well in the 1.3 beta, NVIDIA users should see some added weapon debris effects. It's a small change but it looks great. You can get an early look at the change in the video above.
