EA will transistion to the new Frostbite game engine that powers Battlefield 1, Star Wars: Battlefront and other big name games. The new FIFA 17 video confirms this news.

Last year EA started the sport game switch from Ignite to Frostbite with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, but this will be the first of the big three sports games to make the jump. It sounds like NHL 17 and Madden 17 will stick on the older engine this year. 

EA Frostbite can reduce load times and also proved good at delivering great looking settings in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, as shown above. 

At this stage we still don't know a lot about the upgrades to FIFA 17 graphics and how this will impact the rest of the gameplay. We expect to see more on June 12th when EA shares more FIFA 17 details and allows users to play the game.
