With the holiday shopping season in full swing, many are likely looking for last minute gifts. Now that Black Friday has came and went, buyers trying to find a good deal on a smartphone may want to consider heading to AT&T, who’s offering a free Samsung Galaxy S6 to users.
Back in April the impressive Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were released with an all-new design, beautiful aluminum frame, and one of the best cameras on any smartphone. It has continued to be one of the best phones of the year, and now AT&T is giving one away for the holidays.
It’s a simple buy one get one free deal, but it’s actually available in multiple ways and will get buyers a free Galaxy S6, or the AT&T exclusive Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. Read on for all the details.
This deal could just be to get rid of some extra stock of the Samsung Galaxy S6 leftover from Black Friday, a deal for the holidays from AT&T, or to make room for the heavily rumored Samsung Galaxy S7, which we’re hearing could be announced as early as the end of February.
The rumored Galaxy S7 is still 3-4 months away, which means one of the next best smartphones available is the Galaxy S6, especially when buyers get one free. Earlier this week AT&T announced the Samsung Galaxy S6 buy one get one free deal, but there’s more to it than just that. The choices are pretty wide, two free phones are available to buyers, and this could make for a perfect gift this holiday season.
It’s simple. Buy any of Samsung’s flagship smartphones released in 2015 with a new AT&T Next 24 plan, which is no-contract but users pay monthly payments on the phone rather than $199, and get another Galaxy S6 in the form of a $650 credit on the account.
Meaning users can head into AT&T and buy the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, or the Galaxy S6 Edge+, and get a Galaxy S6 free. Both phones need to be used, and on an AT&T Next 24 installment plan, and the purchaser will get $650 back, which covers the cost of the Samsung Galaxy S6.
The deal is good for a 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Active from AT&T, and both phones are available. The Galaxy S6 Active is a more rugged version of the Galaxy S6 with the same specs, same great display and camera, but has a durable design, hardware buttons, and no fingerprint scanner.
AT&T confirmed this deal is available from now until December 31st for well-qualified buyers, and if either phone is canceled from the plan, users will be charged the full amount of the device.
It’s worth noting that the AT&T Galaxy S6 second unit isn’t outright free, and users will still be charged, but there will be a $650 credit on the bill that covers the entire price of the phone. Essentially allowing family members to get an extra for a friend or family, as long as its used on the line made during purchase.
AT&T further states the $650 credit may take upwards of 90 days to activate, which means some buyers could end up paying the AT&T Next payment on the free Galaxy S6 for three months until the promotion kicks in, which is less than $70, but in the end the entire Samsung Galaxy S6 will be absolutely free. Those who missed on on good deals during Black Friday will want to grab one of these while supplies last, or until December 31st. Get the Galaxy S6 now, or wait a few months to see what comes from the new Samsung Galaxy S7.
