New Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop Release Details Confirmed

New Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop release details have been confirmed and it appears that the Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop update will expand to another variant sometime later this year.

Back in late January, Samsung started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop to two if its aging former flagships, the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4. Both Android 5.0 Lollipop updates have made progress since their initial release though only the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop update is available in the United States. There is still much progress to be made with the Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 roll out though Samsung’s expected to continue making strides as we push deeper into the year.

This is the first time that we’ve seen the Galaxy Note 3 Neo Android 5.0 Lollipop update confirmed by Samsung and it’s also the first time that we’ve seen a release window emerge for the highly anticipated update.

Samsung’s regional arm did not outline any specific Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop release information for Galaxy Note 3 Neo users. That information will almost certainly come at a later date after Samsung’s done testing the Galaxy Note 3 Neo’s Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Samsung rarely shares precise Android release dates ahead of time.

The update’s contents were not specified though Galaxy Note 3 Neo users should expect an update that’s similar to the one that’s already rolling out to the regular version of the Galaxy Note 3. The Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop update comes with a number of enhancements including Material Design and bug fixes for lingering issues.

Yesterday, AT&T became the second US carrier to push out a Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The update came out of the blue and it’s rolling out to AT&T users across the US right now. Like Samsung’s other Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop upgrades, AT&T’s delivers a series of enhancements that breathe new life into the aging former flagship.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop release has been moving out slowly in the months since its initial release back in late January. It has landed for a number of devices in a number of different regions though it’s still limited in most places and carriers have yet to outline their plans.
