While the actual specs aren't extremely important, it is something that many buyers consider before making a choice. Obviously the new Note 7 is more powerful, but the small processor and storage upgrades aren't the only improvements.

Looking at that breakdown above it's a pretty clear choice which device will be better. The Galaxy Note 7 is similar to the S6 Edge+ but more powerful, double the storage, a better camera, it's water-resistant, has a micro-SD slot, and last but not least is that huge battery. That's one of the most important specs to me, as the S6 Edge+ didn't last nearly long enough and I was constantly searching for a charger. That shouldn't be an issue this year.Anything you didn't like about the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has been fixed on the new Note. Well, unless you don't like the curved display.
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ is still a great phone with a lot to offer, but it's cripped by the storage and battery life. Both of those along with the IP68 rating makes the Note 7 a worthy successor, and worth upgrading to even after only owning it for a year. The camera is also way better, even though it has a smaller 12 megapixel camera sensor. It's one of the best smartphone cameras I've ever used. |

Specs correction: the S6 Edge Plus has 4 GB of RAM. It’s the S6 Edge (not Plus) that has 3 GB.

When, when, when, will Samsung get it together and let us put in our own extended batteries, with a screen this size for construction people in the field we need to be able to up the battery size of our choosing! Please let us have our SD and battery size back like the note 4. That is what Samsung users are waiting for. Quit trying to mock the iPhone, we want batteries and SD cards, I will not let loose of my Note 4 until that happens 1,000s of others want the same!!!!!!!

If battery is a concern, and you mentioned construction work, why not get the hp elite x3 with 4150mah battery, 2TB SDCard support, and pogo pins for various tools you might need for work :D. Not android but it all depends on the apps you use :)
Meanwhile we who dont care about sdcard (cloud anyone? Its 2016), will keep eyeballing the note7 :)
