Galaxy Note 7 vs Galaxy S6 Edge Plus: 5 Key Differences

Note 7 vs Galaxy S6 Edge Plus: Display

Both of these phones have a huge curved screen, although the Note 7 is slightly different. That being a 5.7-inch curved display and Edge features. The S6 Edge Plus was just a bigger Galaxy S6, but the Note 7 is completely different.

It still has the same beautiful and award-winning 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD S-AMOLED display, but it's curved this year. You'll notice the curve isn't as noticeable as the S6 Edge+. Samsung states it found the perfect middle ground to make it feel almost flat and work with the S-Pen, but curved enough to look good and still give access to the Edge features. We actually like the minor curve more so than the extremely noticeable difference on other curved devices.

Basically what this means is if you were on the fence when it comes to buying the Note 7 because you didn't like the look or feel of previous curved Samsung devices, give the Note 7 a second look. It isn't as pronounced as before, and very elegant in how they did it. If you loved the curve you'll love it, and everyone else will get used to it rather fast.

We see no reason to pass simply for the curved display, and if you're like me you can disable the Edge features and enjoy everything else it has to offer.

Specs correction: the S6 Edge Plus has 4 GB of RAM. It’s the S6 Edge (not Plus) that has 3 GB.

When, when, when, will Samsung get it together and let us put in our own extended batteries, with a screen this size for construction people in the field we need to be able to up the battery size of our choosing! Please let us have our SD and battery size back like the note 4. That is what Samsung users are waiting for. Quit trying to mock the iPhone, we want batteries and SD cards, I will not let loose of my Note 4 until that happens 1,000s of others want the same!!!!!!!

If battery is a concern, and you mentioned construction work, why not get the hp elite x3 with 4150mah battery, 2TB SDCard support, and pogo pins for various tools you might need for work :D. Not android but it all depends on the apps you use :)

Meanwhile we who dont care about sdcard (cloud anyone? Its 2016), will keep eyeballing the note7 :)
