New Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat release details have emerged today with one carrier confirming the Galaxy S4 update for the near future and another assigning very specific release dates for the Galaxy S4 KitKat update and the Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 update.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 updates have been emerging at a dizzying pace and they show no signs of slowing down. In fact, today, two new carriers have jumped on the band wagon with brand new release date details for Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 owners in France and Canada.

French carrier SFR, who rolled out the Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update today, says that it will be rolling out the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update soon. It does not provide a specific date but the carrier has said that it would deliver the update in March and it appears that it could keep that promise.

Canadian carrier Rogers has issued a more specific time line for its Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates. The carrier, which weeks ago said that the updates would be coming soon, now lists the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update with a release date of March 13th and its Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update with a late March release date.

Galaxy S4 users on Rogers should check their device starting tomorrow as the Android 4.4 KitKat update should prompt sometime after the calendar turns. The carrier will likely update its schedule once it gets closer to a Galaxy Note 3 release.

The carriers don’t provide any details about the updates but from what we’ve seen, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates are all created equal. While carriers certainly put their own twist on these updates in the form of fixes and enhancements, the biggest changes are from Android 4.4 KitKat itself.

The updates won’t focus on changes to TouchWiz but will instead deliver minor changes like emoji support and a new way to switch between the default messaging application and Hangouts.

These are the just the three latest updates to emerge. Earlier this week, T-Mobile USA pushed its Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update and yesterday, we saw the United Kingdom get its taste of Android 4.4 KitKat.

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates will likely be followed by upgrades for the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 though the company has yet to commit to specific release dates for those two upgrades.
