The Samsung Galaxy S6 rumor mill continues to churn out possible Galaxy S6 specs and a new avalanche of details points to several potential Galaxy S6 features including bits about its design, its screen, and more.

Since the start of the year, Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors have been emerging at breakneck speed outing potential Galaxy S6 launch date details, Galaxy S6 release date information, and Galaxy S6 specs including hints about the device’s upcoming display, design, camera, and more. The Galaxy S6 isn’t confirmed just yet but these rumors continue to piece together some of the more important aspects of the device as Samsung works behind the scenes to complete the project.

A fresh wave of Galaxy S6 rumors asserts that the Galaxy S6 specs will come with some powerful upgrades to help set it apart from the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as the company chases Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

SamMobile continues to leak alleged Galaxy S6 details and its latest report indicates that Samsung is indeed working on two Galaxy S6 models including one that’s expected to be reminiscent of the curved Samsung Galaxy Note Edge that arrived alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 last year. This new report backs several rumors that have hinted at a “Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge” with a bent display.

The site maintains that the SM-G925 model number that we’ve seen emerge several times already pertains to this Galaxy S6 variant. The device is expected to use two bent displays as opposed to the one found on the Galaxy Note Edge.

It’s also expected to run similar software though there will be some notable changes including the ability to put the panel with apps on the left or right edge depending on the user’s dominant hand. Other features are said to include a feature that lights up the edge when a call or notification appears and the user turns the device over.

We may also see a Galaxy S6 Edge with a curved screen.

Expect the Galaxy S6 to be a mash up of the Galaxy S5, Note 4 and new features.

In addition to the bent display, the Galaxy S6 specs are expected to include a new design that delivers noticeable change from last year’s plastic Galaxy S5 design. Rumors have centered on the use of premium materials though that remains unconfirmed.

Korean publication DDaily claims that the company will use a glass-based design that includes metal edges, similar to what the company used on the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Alpha last year. The device’s back and bezels would be made out of glass.

The report also claims that the company will get rid of its removal battery setup to accommodate the design changes. Galaxy S6 design rumors have also hinted at the use of a mostly metal design so it looks like Samsung could be testing several prototypes ahead of the Galaxy S6 launch date which is rumored to be taking place in just a few short weeks.

Finally, Korean analysts believe that the Galaxy S6 Edge, the version with the curved display, will utilize 4GB of RAM. Android smartphones have started to shift to 4GB of RAM so this addition to the Galaxy S6 specs wouldn’t come as much of a surprise. The regular Galaxy S6 is rumored to have 3GB of RAM to support its Exynos or Snapdragon processor.

Samsung’s Galaxy S6 is rumored to have a collection of high powered specifications that are expected to help it challenge top rivals like the iPhone 6, LG G3, HTC One and others. The device is said to include a 16MP or 20MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a release on all five major carriers in the U.S.

Galaxy S6 launch date rumors put it at Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Spain though it’s not clear exactly when it would show up if it did make it to MWC. MWC 2015 kicks off on March 2nd.
