Galaxy S8 vs LG G6: Cameras

Samsung is known for having some of, if not the best cameras in any smartphone. That will continue in 2017. It will be the same 12MP DualPixel sensor, but expect great things. Either way, just know the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will likely have one of the best cameras of any phone in 2017.  Samsung will up the front camera to 8MP, rather than 5MP like they've used for years.

LG on the other hand, continued their dual camera setup but made them both much better. Instead of a 16 and 8MP setup, both are 13MP and have more to offer. There is a 13 megapixel f/1.8 aperture lens with OIS, laser auto-focus and much more. Then the second 13MP sensor is the wide-angle lens for improved photography. This gives users more options for landscape mode and portraits. LG has wide angle while Apple does zoom, it's all about preference.

Until we test the LG G6 camera out further, and see what Samsung brings, we can't comment further.
