GameStop Military Discount Offers 10% Off for Active and Former Military

There is now a GameStop military discount that offers 10% off games, accessories and other items to active and former military members. The program starts on Veterans Day, but it is a new permanent discount that covers a surprising amount of items at GameStop.

“On this Veterans Day, we pause to take a moment to honor and say, ‘Thank You’ to all the brave men and women who have, or are still serving our country,” said George Sherman, CEO of GameStop. “We don’t take lightly the sacrifices our service members make daily to preserve our freedom. As a small token of GameStop’s appreciation, we are proud to offer a much-deserved discount in our stores all year long.”

This is valid at GameStop U.S. locations and is only in-store — so if you want to save you will need to go to your local store. With the program both active and former military members can save 10% off a range of items including;

  • new video game software
  • new game accessories
  • pre-owned software
  • pre-owned hardware
  • pre-owned accessories
  • collectibles

You can validate with military or veterans ID, Form DD214 or authenticating with ID.me or a similar online verification platform. The discount is open to members of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Airforce, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, and Air National Guard.

The GameStop military discount is not valid on new game hardware, digital currency, gift cards or point of sale activated cards. It does not apply to sales, clearance or other promotional items.
