The dock includes the inserts you need for current iPad models as well. Switching between the plastic inserts is easy, though it is not something we would want to do every day. Most users will want to pick a type and stick with it, for their iPhone or their iPad.
The Gravitas works with the iPad and the iPhone using different inserts.
When docked you can connect your iPhone or iPad to power with the included USB cable, or directly to a computer. The lightning connection is built-in to the dock, so you don’t need to buy an extra cable. The line out delivers
We use the Gravitas on our desk, and like that you can access the home button and screen while docked. The height makes it an excellent way to use FaceTime on the iPhone or iPad.
With the Duet app, this dock also turns your iPad into a second display, allowing you to get more work done. This is an awesome add-on to a MacBook. The included cable is a normal USB, so you will need to buy an adapter if you want to connect to a USB C MacBook or MacBook Pro.
This is a heavy dock, at 2.5 pounds. This helps keep the dock on your desk when you pick up your iPhone or iPad. The dock stays in place with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro no matter how you pick it up. When using the iPhone 7 in the Gravitas dock you need to swiftly remove it or the dock will come with it. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s come out easily no matter how you grab it.
