HTC EVO 4G LTE: Camera Samples



HTC has posted some camera samples shot with its upcoming HTC EVO 4G LTE for Sprint showing off the capabilities of the camera found on its next big smartphone release.

The photos, found on HTC’s Facebook page, show off the ImageSense technology that is found on Sprint’s upcoming 4G LTE smartphone.

These camera samples may look familiar to those that saw the HTC One X’s camera, a 4G LTE device on AT&T, matched up against the camera on the iPhone 4S.

That’s because the sensors and technology on the HTC EVO 4G LTE are the same as the ones found on HTC’s One Series. And while the photos are arguably worse than those shot with an iPhone 4S, they are still better than most, if not all other photos taken with an Android smartphone.

In the first photo we can see how the camera performs when shooting a black and white photo. The blacks and whites are vibrant and rich and the subject is extremely clear.

Next, we see any example of an indoor shot with tons of color and action. This is truly a testament to how far camera technology on smartphones has come.

And lastly, we have an outdoor shot in muggy weather where both the subject and the background are both vibrant and in focus.

Of course, the camera is only one of the features found on the HTC EVO 4G LTE.

Sprint’s next 4G LTE smartphone will also feature a 4.7-inch Super LCD display with 720p HD resolution, a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, an NFC chip for use with services like Google Wallet, and a large 2,000 mAh battery.

It’s going to be priced at $199.99 when it arrives and while we don’t have an official release date yet, May 18th seems like the day that Sprint will be unleashing the phone.
