The HTC One Mini is still lurking in the shadows but it appears that an announcement is getting closer as HTC inadvertently published something confirming a smaller HTC One for arrival. And though it didn’t use the name “HTC One Mini” it’s clear that the now deleted post has everything to do with the company’s rumored device.
For weeks, HTC has been rumored to have several new HTC One devices up its sleeve including a new, more powerful HTC One, an HTC One Max that is rumored to be coming after the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and a smaller version of the HTC One called the HTC One Mini, also known as the HTC M4.
The HTC One Mini has leaked out numerous times in recent weeks showcasing its design and other features for the world to see. The device, from leaks, looks similar to the HTC One though it’s smaller and closely resembles the iPhone 5. The device is expected to feature a 4.3-inch 720p display, dual-core processor, Ultrapixel camera, Android 4.2 and Sense 5. And while HTC hasn’t yet confirmed any of that, it has confirmed the device itself, albeit early.
“The HTC One, by many accounts, is the pinnacle of smartphone achievement. The beautiful metal design, powerful hardware, and innovative user experience pack a lot into a svelte package, making it hit with critics and consumers alike. This success has only boosted our passion to bring the One experience to as many people as possible.
In that spirit, here’s an homage to little things that back a big punch.
Can you think of anything else that packs a big punch into a small package?”
It doesn’t mention the HTC One Mini by name but it’s clear that that is what it is referring to. The post also included a large infographic that details powerful things that come in small packages.
The HTC One Mini is expected to debut in just a few weeks with a release in August so it’s not surprising to see HTC preparing for the big launch. And while the company appears set to tease consumers with a smaller HTC One, consumers already know what’s coming.
HTC’s smaller HTC One is expected to land on T-Mobile USA, at the very least, though it’s possible that we could see other carriers latch onto the smaller device and its smaller price tag.
