HTC Pyramid Launching April 12th As HTC Sensation?

Pocket-lint is reporting that the heavily rumored HTC Pyramid will be announced at HTC’s April 12th event as the HTC Sensation.

HTC Pyramid

HTC has said that it will be debuting “what’s next” at the event that takes place in London next Tuesday and it looks like the HTC Sensation will be what the company shows off. While it will be launched at the event, it apparently will take months for the device to hit shelves in the UK.

Unfortunately, the identity or identities of the carriers that it will be headed to remain unknown. It’s also unknown as to whether or not this is strictly a European release or if the device is going to be headed to the United States as well.

The HTC Pyramid aka HTC Sensation has been rumored to be an absolute beast of a phone. It supposedly will have a 4.3 inch qHD display, dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 8MP rear cam; VGA front cam, and HSPA+ speeds.

It should also have the new HTC Sense 3 which is the same software found on the HTC EVO 3D.

it looks interesting but among the listed features lacks the ones that make the desire HD uninteresting :

    – battery capacity (desire HD : 1250 mAH
    – technology of screen LCD (amoled ?)

There is no way that HTC would put an AMOLED display on it but rather a S-LCD and 1500mAH battery .

battery life seems a weak point for HTC, galaxy sII is planned with 1650 mAH and amoled (consummes less power)

on top of that the case design has beenso detrimental on the desire HD that muggen that manufactures alternative battery could only propose a 1300 mAH alternative battery instead of the original 1250 mAH.

All that because of the problematic case.
