In the weeks immediatly following an iOS update, there is generally a loophole that allows iOS users to downgrade to the previous version of iOS. This isn't sanctioned by Apple but it's extremely useful in that it allows you to drop back down if you see problems or don't like the new features. For instance, the emoji keyboard that comes with iOS 8.3.

The iOS 8.2 downgrade loophole was open for a number of weeks, much longer that usual, though it is now closed. What this means is that once you upgrade to iOS 8.3, you're going to be stuck on iOS 8.3 until Apple's next update comes out. 

This is important to note because one, there are iOS 8.3 problems plaguing some users and two, the iOS 8.4 release date isn't expected for a number of weeks. Something to keep in mind if you've avoided the iOS 8.3 update up to this point.

    8.3 has disabled my external GPS functionality. Was this a deliberate move by Apple?
