Prepare Your Device for iOS 9.1

While you might be tempted to jump right in with the iOS 9.1 update, you shouldn't. Instead, you should do some prep work before you make your move.

iOS 9.1 is a big update that's full of changes. But what Apple doesn't note in the change log is that the update can have a negative impact on your device's performance. iOS 9.1 problems are inevitable and there's a chance you will run into some.

If you want to cut down on the risk, you should take some steps ahead of your iOS 9.1 installation. We've put together a short guide that will take you through the pre-installation process that we use before every single iOS update.

You don't need to follow every single step on there but the more preperation you do before installing iOS 9.1 the better off you'll be.

My iPhone 6 upgraded without me getting a chance to say “do it” or “later” and this morning it started going into some sort of reboot loop that drains the battery in about an hour. One of the Helpdesk guy at work asked me if I had installed the upgrade and I responded “What upgrade?” I knew nothing about it. Apple blew it with this one.

The videos I recently took on a vacation disappeared after I installed iOS 9.1. I had upgraded from iOS 9.0. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any fixes suggested?
