Expect the iOS 9.3 update to come with bug fixes for iOS 9 problems and, if we're lucky, some performance improvements for iPhone and iPad. The iOS 9.3 beta has revealed at least one major bug fix for iPhone and iPad: A remedy for that "1970 date bug" that made headlines a few weeks ago. The recently iOS 9.3 betas crushed that bug and we expect the fix to carry over to the public release. Expect this to be just one of the fixes on board. Milestone upgrades have a long track record of bringing bug fixes to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. iOS 9.2 and iOS 9.1 both delivered extensive sets of bug fixes. There's also a chance that iOS 9.3 will feature performance improvements. iPhone 6s beta testers claim that 3D Touch is a lot smoother with iOS 9.3 beta on board and iPad Air users are saying that the tablet "received a lot of performance tweaks to animation rendering. Specifically, the "multitasking menu is much smoother, Spotlight doesn't stutter anymore, Safari's keyboard popup no longer skips animation, opening and closing apps is smooth again." Beta performance doesn't always translate to the final product but there's a good chance some users will see some improvements after making the change to iOS 9.3. | ||||||||||
