2015 was a busy year for Apple and its mobile operating system. In June, the company debuted iOS 9 on stage at WWDC 2015 in San Francisco. In September, the company showed it off on stage alongside the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro, and more.

First and foremost, you can expect the iOS 9.2.1 update to be the next update you receive on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

The iOS 9.2.1 update is confirmed thanks to a release into Apple's beta program for developers and the general public. Anyone with an Apple ID can download and early version of iOS 9.2.1 right now through the Beta Software Program.

iOS 9.2.1 most likely will be a small bug fix update aimed at patching up one or more lingering iOS 9 problems. The full change log still isn't known though we do expect it to fix at least one problem that came with Apple's iOS 9.2 update.

Apple hasn't confirmed a release date yet (and we don't expect it to) but reports suggest that it will likely come before the company's rumored March media event.
