The iOS 9 release date hasn't been rumored but thanks to the confirmed launch date and a number of credible iPhone 6s release date rumors, we've been able to pinpoint two likely iOS 9 release dates for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Apple typically releases its iOS updates two days before the new iPhone release date. The iPhone 6s release date is heavily rumored for September 18th which means that the iOS 9 release date could land on September 16th, or, a few days after the launch event. 

The iPhone 6s release date is also rumored for September 25th though September 18th is seen as the front-runner given Apple's history. Apple likes to release the iPhone on the Friday the week after launch and September 18th fits the profile perfectly. 

September 16th should be the day and we fully expect the update to roll out in and around 9AM-10AM PST. So, plan accordingly.
