iOS 9 Release: What We Know So Far
iOS 9 Launch Date | ||||||||
Last week, a credible rumor detailed what could be Apple's only fall launch event. According to BuzzFeed's sources, Apple's event is scheduled for September 9th, the same day that Apple used to launch the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iOS 8 last year. There, the company is expected to detail new iPhones, a new Apple TV, and maybe even new iPads if we're lucky. The company is also expected to announce the iOS 9 update again in more detail. On September 9th, we should learn more about the iOS 9 feature set. Apple probably hasn't outlined everything and it will use the event to recap old features and outline new ones. We should also hear about the iOS 9 release date. Apple almost always announces a firm iOS release date at its iPhone launch events and we're not expecting any less from it this year. September 9th will be important for Apple hardware but it will also be a big day for iOS 9. | ||||||||

There is a pattern Apple has followed throughout the years and releases of these updates. Last year, (iOS 8 release) the date of release was September 17. And the year before that (iOS 7) was on September 18, and so on. So this year we most likely can conclude that it will be released on the 16th of September.
