The iOS 9 update adds predictive touch to the system that can use information to predict where touch input may go next. Cult of Mac reports that the signs of an iPad with a stylus are all over WWDC 2015, including the predictive touch. Leander Kahney writes, "Predictive touch technology is the key technology behind all styluses — both computer and iPad. Touchscreens and drawing tablets generally aren’t accurate enough for precision work unless they have predictive touch technology. Predictive touch dramatically improves the speed and accuracy of a pen." Tim Ritchey works for Adonit, a company that already makes a Bluetooth stylus for the iPad. Ritchey told Cult of Mac that this technology and the drawing engine that powers a new Apple Notes app, "are the kinds of things you want in place if you were going to come out with a stylus."
