If you aren't completely sold on upgrading to a new iPhone, you also might consider holding onto your iPhone 5 for a little while longer. 

Apple's competitors are also cooking up some new flagships for the fall including a brand new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. 

Google's Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are incredible smartphones and their successors should improve on the foundation they left behind. 

We don't have a confirmed launch date, but October 9th is reportedly going to be the day Google unveils the new devices. 

If you have the time and patience, you might wait until all of 2018's flagships are on the table before upgrading to a new device.
