One of the big claims that Apple made when it announced the iOS 9 update in June was that the update would bring up to an extra hour of battery life to the iPhone. And while we've noticed some small gains on older devices like the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5, the iOS 9 update hasn't been a game changer for us. 

Our experience on the iPhone 5s has been similar to our experience on the iPhone 5. iOS 9 battery life is very solid but we don't get an hour extra each and every day. We are, however, noticing some improvements to standby battery life. The device doesn't seem to drain as fast when its not being used. That's big. 

We're still able to get a full day of use out of the phone when using a mix of Wi-Fi and LTE. We haven't noticed any major problems. 

While we haven't seen any mind-blowing changes, we have fallen in love with the new Low Power Mode. It has already saved us several times. Try it out if you haven't already.
