iPhone 6 Plus iOS 9.1 Release: 10 Things to Keep in Mind

The iPhone 6 Plus iOS 9.0.2 update will get replaced sometime soon and odds are good that it will be the iOS 9.1 update that replaces it. With Apple’s first milestone release on the horizon, we take a look at a few things to look for as we approach the iPhone 6 Plus iOS 9.1 release date.

Last month, Apple confirmed four iOS 9 updates for the iPhone 6 Plus. The first was the iOS 9.0 update that pushed out on September 16th. iOS 9.0 brought a ton of new features and enhancements to the iPhone 6 Plus.

A week later, Apple rolled out iOS 9.0.1, a bug fix update aimed at curbing some of the iOS 9 problems that popped up in the initial update. Apple and its testers caught a ton of bugs ahead of release but problems always slip through the cracks.

A week after that, the company pushed out iOS 9.0.2, another bug fix update and an update that we’ve been paying close attention to. In September, Apple also pushed out an update that could be iOS 9.0.2’s successor.

The first iOS 9.1 beta rolled out on September 11th. Since then, Apple’s rolled out three more iOS 9.1 beta updates to developers and those in the Beta Software Program for the general public.

The iOS 9.1 beta confirmed a number of important details (including the update’s emojis) but it didn’t confirm an iOS 9.1 release date. And with Apple reportedly skipping an October launch event, we might not get a release date ahead of the iOS 9.1 roll out.

With that in mind, we want to take a look at a few things we think iPhone 6 Plus users need to be looking for as we approach the iOS 9.1 release date. If you’re interested in the first milestone update for iOS 9, keep these in mind.
