iPhone 6 Concept: Bigger Screen, Smaller Bezels, Better Curves

Published

on

A stunning new iPhone 6 concept perfectly blends a larger 4.5-inch display with traditional Apple style from the iPad mini to showcase an impressively beautiful iPhone 6 device.

This iPhone 6 video concept brings a curved display to the iPhone which is something we don’t expect to see on an iPhone this year, but the curve is interesting because it isn’t an inward curve like we see on most devices. Instead this appears to feature a slightly outward curve on the 4.5-inch Sapphire display.

The iPhone 6 concept shown in the video below comes from Ran Avni and Arthur Reis, who are two of the most well-known iPhone 6 concept creators. This duo brings iPhone 6 rumors to life using professional modeling tools.  Many of these concepts look good enough to convince YouTube viewers that it is a leak from Apple.

While Avni and Reis aren’t showing us what Apple is working on behind closed doors this iPhone 6 concept delivers a look at once possible way Apple could add a larger display to the iPhone 6 without making a dramatically larger device.

This concept shows a iPhone 6 with a 4.5-inch display, which is one rumored size for a new iPhone in 2014. Most recent rumors suggest Apple is planning a slightly larger display that measures 4.7-inches with a larger screen.

The design of this iPhone 6 mock-up shows a face with smaller bezels on the sides and at the top and bottom with a home button that is closer to the bottom edge and the screen. The back looks like an iPad mini or iPod touch, with a more curvaceous look and more pronounced curved edge that is able to keep the volume buttons and mute switch on the edge of the device, but sloped to the back more.

The iPhone 6 is the next iPhone we expect Apple to release. Current rumors suggest Apple is planning to announce a new iPhone in the fall, and that we could see two models with larger screens. Apple announced two new iPhone models in 2013, but the devices both offered the same 4-inch Retina display as the iPhone 5 before them. Multiple rumors and leaks point to a 4.5-inch to 4.8-inch display on one device, with many rumors aligning on a 4.7-inch display size. We also hear about a larger device designed to compete with the Galaxy Note 3 or HTC One Max with a 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch display.

Apple will face off against a new Galaxy S5 which features a 5.1-inch 1080P display and a new water-resistant design as well as a focus on health with a pulse reader and a Gear Fit accessory.
