iPhone 6s Plus vs Note 5: Specs

Now this is one area that really doesn't matter, as they're both extremely powerful and run completely different OS versions, but some like to know the hard numbers. These are two of the most capable handsets on the planet, and if you want all the info here it is.

iPhone 6s Plus Specs

  • 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p Retina Display
  • Apple A9 processor with 2GB of RAM
  • 16/64/128GB internal storage (no micro-SD slot)
  • iOS 9
  • 12 Megapixel iSight Rear Camera (4k video recording)
  • 5 Megapixel front camera with Retina Flash (using the screen at max brightness)
  • 2,915 mAh battery
  • 3D Touch Feature

Galaxy Note 5 Specs
  • 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD S AMOLED Display
  • 8-core Samsung Exynos processor with 4GB of RAM
  • 32/64GB internal storage (no micro-SD slot)
  • 16 Megapixel Rear Camera with Optical Image Stabilization, 4k, slo-mo, more
  • 5 Megapixel wide-angle front camera
  • 3,000 mAh battery
  • Fast Charging, Fast Wireless Charging
  • S-Pen Stylus

Looking at the two we have pretty similar overall devices, but Samsung appears better on paper due to 4GB of RAM, a higher megapixel camera, and bigger battery.

However, one thing you can't ignore is the bigger screen, and the charging methods Samsung employed here. Fast Charging takes the Note 5 from 0-50% in 30 minutes, and 100% full in around 90 minutes. I don't think the iPhone 6s Plus recharges that fast.

Then, wireless charging is something many expected in a new iPhone at some point, but it isn't practical. However, how that wireless charging can be "Fast Wireless charging" with a new 15w standard output, it recharges devices 1.4x faster, and will fully recharge the Note 5 in 120 minutes. Just 30 minutes slower than a fast wall charger.

These are a few areas Samsung wins here, but iPhone and iOS has always been pretty decent on battery life. Surely the new A9 processor has some energy-saving features, as does iOS 9, so expect the iPhone 6s Plus to have a decent 20% or so increase over the original Plus in the battery department.

This one is a toss up. To each his own.

I like the notes freedom of sharing files so easily. Thats important in buisness. This thing with a sandisk micro usb flash drive acts just like a mini pc. The iphone struggles trying to share anything other than to other apple devices, not good im my buisness.
